Summer Blossom

To celebrate the fabulous summer weather that we've been having here in the UK I've made a cute little pink bear called Summer Blossom. 4 1/2" of cuteness with some pretty pink flowers in her hair, just what I needed to kick start my summer bear making! It occured to me that Mabel wasn't showing her true colours in the pic I posted yesterday. The lighting was terrible and Mabel looked blonde when in fact she's really a very soft pink. So here she is again in her finery showing off her pinkness!

Note to self - must get around to reading the camera manual......................

Best Friends Part One.

I've finally finished my little bear, no name yet but I've got my thinking cap on, I've been really busy lately and don't have time to write much but hope you enjoy the pics x

Oh for the love of pink!!

I currently have a thing for pink at the moment!! The long dark winter and sombre colours that I've been wearing are now a thing of the past and I'm surging ahead with new designs all with a frisson of the said pinkness!!

It's amazing how this rosy colour has an effect on my mood, some shades of pink actually make me smile, especially the colour of these teeny legs!!!

Pink to make the bears wink!!

Think I must be going thru a bit of a pink phase at the mo. I found a picture of the most darling old Chad Valley bear and it's given me inspiration to make something with a vintage air about it. I dyed some mohair and to my utter astonishment it's turned out better than I expected and looks v similar to the old bears mohair . Although the pic may not show the true colour , it is a lovely shade of soft faded pink. I've started my pink bear today and am pleased with the results so far!!! The other pics are of some scrummy pink earrings that I made and a photo from my wedding last July .As you can see my husband and I are surrounded by a sea of pink! Pink to make the bears/boys wink ;-)
